Hi,
I am working on a study and I need expert opinion, I did not work with
LISP before, can anyone help me with a comparison between WhizBase
(www.whizbase.com) and LISP please.

Thank you in advance,
Ashraf Gheith

I did not work with WHIZBASE before. Could you help me with a
comparison between Common Lisp
(http://www.lispworks.com/documentation/HyperSpec/Front/Contents.htm)
and WHIZBASE please.

Arrhg! The situation for Lisp is more complex. We don't have only one help.
We have a lot of different sources for help.

A lot of what is available is indexed at: http://www.cliki.net/ Have a
look at http://www.cliki.net/Education for links to get started with
lisp, for tutorials, http://www.cliki.net/Lisp%20books for a list of
books (if you are already a programmer, then
http://www.gigamonkeys.com/book/ is a good book to start with lisp).

Now you have that, and a you have a pointer to the Lisp specification
also.

It's time to you to work hard on your study.

Good luck!

I don't know whizbase at all, but looking at the help page you cite,
there appears to be nothing in common between WB and lisp, other than
that they are both programming languages, in the wide sense of the term.

WB appears to be a snazzy way of displaying database information on a
web page. Lisp is a general purpose programming language, first invented
in the late 1950's and steadily developed since. It is reckoned by many
people (particularly those on this newsgroup) to be the most powerful
programming language of all.

Hope that helps!
