So I've been making my way through these two papers:

http://www.cs.toronto.edu/syslab/pubs/vee11-zaleski.pdf
http://www.ics.uci.edu/%7Efranz/Site/pubs-pdf/ICS-TR-06-16.pdf

And I was wondering if anyone had written a tracing interpreter for a
lisp?

I realize the lisps with mature compilers would be less attracted to this
method, but sometimes during particularly long sbcl compilations, I
wonder if there is a better trade off to be found by deferring
compilation till "runtime".
