I have taken over administration of the cl-cookbook after Edi Weitz.
Those who have followed comp.lang.lisp might know that Edi has a lot of
his plate and no longer had time for all these projects. Anyhow this
project is now open again and submissions will be considered.

Why not improve Common Lisp Wikibook instead? I mean, sourceforge is
not really suitable for the task that cookbook is trying to solve...

I did not try to confuse anyone. Edi Weitz asked if anyone wanted to take
it over and I volunteered.
Seems a shame to let this get lost. As for Common Lisp Wikibook this is
the first I have heard of it.
But by all means if you prefer the derogative attitude of the lisperati
post there.

I have also learned a lot from the cookbook as I figure out lisp, and
there were a number of times where if it was a wiki I could have
easily added additional links and examples. What about taking what's
already in the book and just importing it into pages in cl-wiki? It's
not that many pages so it should be easy to just paste in what's
there. If anything it's worth the experiment, and if it doesn't work
out the existing cookbook is still there.

If any of the wiki maintainers contact me personally requesting this I
will consider merging the information.
Just pasting it in without relating it to the current content seems a bit
radical.

You've done the right thing, but I see Timofei advice as good one.
There's a lot of good staff in the cookbook, I especially use hash
tables as reference,
but cathedral development is so 80s. Cleaning up the current articles
and removing old or nonportable staff would be a good thing.
Leslie Pozler was also interested in the cookbook maybe he would be
interested to help, or share the project management with you.
Later people will write as per inspiration, and you will take of
certain minimum quality.

The cookbook is very useful for newbies like myself, so this is great
news.

It's not a bug, it's the future.

Is there a url for the cl-cookbook?
Is there anything odd about the way various lisps manage memory?
