Google now lists the number of recent posters for each forum in the "about
this group" tab:
comp.lang.functional: 116
fa.caml: 106
comp.lang.lisp: 97
fa.haskell: 86
I find it interesting that the number of posters on functional programming
is similar to the number for mainstream languages:
microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.csharp: 104
comp.lang.c++: 102
comp.lang.java.programmer: 86
The growth of the number of installations on major distros like Debian and
Ubuntu is also interesting. This month has seen ~3 new registered installs
of SBCL on Ubuntu every day!
