read and sent messages to this newsgroup, but I don't know what
happen, I have the following:
client: icedove
account type: (NNTP)
server: comp.lang.lisp
port: 119
use SSL secure conection: no
I have tried whit this for after subscribe to the group but doesn't
work, the conection with the server is refused, what I'm doing bad?

Hi,

Nope. comp.lang.lisp isn't a news server, it's a newsgroup.
You will have to sign up for an account on some news server if you
want to read news using a newsreader. How that works, I don't know.
You had better read up on how the Usenet works, I guess. (I don't
know either.)
Bye-bye,
Matthias

The easiest way to get to it is through the Google groups. It has
access to all the groups and posting appears without any delay. You
can just add your account to the Google Groups and then configure the
membership to this group: comp.lang.lisp. You can access this from
anywhere without needing a client. After I switched to it, I have not
gone back to the mail reader clients.
thanks/regards

I think he knows about Google Groups. How do you think he posted the
question without properly configuring his newsreader? Take a look at
his header.
