Subject: Looking for a good *available* AIML chatbot in Lisp

I have been scouring the web and Googling myself to a weary frustration of
finding a good AIML engine in Lisp. The only one I saw available was too
tied to the website code it was hosted on, and at any rate is not
available.

Any ideas?

The ideal software will simply implement the chatbot without any ties to any
particular GUI or web interface. I will even forego AIML if the
implementation is good. Any ideas? Thanks.

What is AIML? Do you mean something like this? http://www.alicebot.org/
Nice Flash animation, the head follows the mouse :-)

Maybe you should try #lisp at http://freenode.net/ , there are some simple
chat bots (e.g. minion), written in Lisp.

Email the folks at Franz and tell them I sent you. They were supposed
to get that code cleaned up and released back when I was working on my
book; maybe if you ask politely they'll let you have it.
