The list works fine. Yes, it gets some spam because posting
is unrestricted.

I don't know the answer to the question you posted there.
It would require some diging in the source.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a better place to ask.

There is also gmane.lisp.clisp.general, the newsgroup version of that
list, that enjoys Gmane's spam filtering. However, that does nothing
to increase the legitimate traffic you're actually interested in.
