I heard/read this somewhere (I am not sure where) that rms originally
planed the kernel to be written in C after which the entire development
around the kernel (I mean everything) would be in LISP. Is this true?
Its sounds great. But where did this plan go?

Comments???

RMS discussed this plan in the GNU Manifesto.

Why Lisp? http://lisp.tech.coop/RtL%20Highlight%20Film
Recommended Common Lisp libraries/tools (see also http://clrfi.alu.org):
- ASDF/ASDF-INSTALL: system building/installation
- CL-PPCRE: regular expressions
- UFFI: Foreign Function Interface
