Hi,
I don't know when this happened, but by now the book "Object-Oriented
Programming - The CLOS Perspective", edited by Andreas Paepcke, is back
in print. See
http://mitpress.mit.edu/catalog/item/default.asp?ttype=2&tid=10443
It's an excellent collection of articles about CLOS, its rationale, its
implementation, its metaobject protocol, its application and comparisons
to other languages. See
http://portal.acm.org/toc.cfm?id=166848&type=div_book&coll=GUIDE&dl=GUIDE&CFID=53032680&CFTOKEN=78405897
for a table of contents.
Note that some of the article can be found as single papers on the
respective author's websites.
