It was certainly very Kipling, especially the beginning. I really
liked the style. And the parts that didn't have to do with macros. The
parts that did weren't as interesting, as Bill pointed, and aren't
really specific to macros. You could write the same story about
assemblers or compilers.

OTOH, when you're don with this book, maybe you should write a Just
Comp Stories book? I know I'd enjoy it.
