We seek candidates for a postdoctoral position in cognitive
neuroscience. Research will involve carrying out computational
modelling on the mapping between cognitive and perceptual processes
onto neuroanatomical structures. The region of interest will be the
temporal lobe in humans. The successful candidate will work under the
direction of Prof F Gobet (·············@brunel.ac.uk). Strong
background in computer science and/or cognitive neuroscience is
required. Knowledge of Lisp is expected. Knowledge in computational
modelling and/or evolutionary computation would be a plus.

The candidate will work within Brunel University's Centre for
Cognition and Neuroimaging, which combines expertise in physiology,
psychophysics, behavioural techniques, functional MRI, and
computational modelling.

The post is tenable for 1 year from the date of appointment.

Applications are welcome from all; however women and minority groups
are particularly encouraged to apply as they are currently
underrepresented within science.

Closing date for applications is: 5 April 2004.
