hey there....

i have a cad file which is 2d and got lot of polylines..in midle of
each line a height text appears...

is there a way to write a program to give me x and y and z from it?
i mean somehow find z by finding out what number is that text which is
written on that line?

the map if for land with height contours but it is 2d and i want to
make it 3d...

Sounds like you're using AutoCAD.  While AutoCAD uses a Lisp dialect as
a scripting language, the comp.lang.lisp newsgroup is mostly for the
discussion of Lisp systems for general-purpose programming.

Try comp.cad.autocad.

First, though, check the FAQ.  comp.cad.autocad has an AutoLISP FAQ,
which is available here:
