Experienced LISP Programmer

The Institute for IT Research is seeking a highly experienced LISP
programmer to assist in developing an exciting new product for the
visualisation of text. The package, known as SmartINFO, is an
out-growth from our work on a new computational theory of language for
explaining how children acquire their first language. To expedite its
development as a commercial product, we now seek an experienced LISP
programmer with knowledge in developing commercial LISP software
and/or in the use of LISP graphics package. The candidate does not
need to have a PhD.
This position is a fixed 1-year appointment initially and there is a
strong likelihood that it could be extended. There is also an
opportunity for taking up stock options in a company to be formed
later.
The Institute for IT Research is currently headed by Professor Yeap
and has a team of 8 full-time researchers and 1 support staff. The
Institute is situated at the AUT Technology Park at Penrose, Auckland.
Salary: This is a special position created within the University to
assist in technology transfer of its R&D work and salary will
therefore commensurate with individual's experience.
