Hi all:

I'm tring cells-gtk with clisp and my windows xp. I've downloaded
the latest cells-gtk via cvs-web. and the clisp's version is 2.33.2.

And here's my problem. cells-gtk depends on ffi-extender, and
ffi-extender depends on uffi. but uffi-1.4.30 does not work with clisp
in my box yet. I fixed a trivial problem, but can't go further
anymore.
Can anyone provide me a hint on how to make the whole thing run?

Sorry. Here is what happened: vasilis created a brilliant CLisp-only
Cells-gtk and sent me a ZIP (which I will email to you shortly).

Then I started an effort to port it to UFFI, and neglected to amend the
Install notes to warn users like you to use the pure CLisp version until
I (a) completed the UFFI port and (b) added CLisp to UFFI (which will
actually be done in an UFFI fork).

The sick thing is that last night I went thru the same exercise of
expanding Vasilis's original zip and running the test and it failed on
something this time, whereas the first time it worked without a hitch.
<sigh> programming! Anyway, let me know if you have any trouble with
Vasilis's original distro (coming next). If so, then some innocuous
change to Cells or Utils-kt must be tripping up cells-gtk. I will be
investigating meanwhile.
