This is an announcement for telephony enthusiasts and developers who
have been asking for a demonstration of PortusConnect.
A link to a new informal multimedia demonstration of PortusConnect can
now be found on the Portus Group website:
http://portusgroup.com/portusconnect
PortusConnect is a development environment for Lisp telephony. You can
use it to create IVR systems, call center software, recording systems,
and much more.
A single PortusConnect license includes integrated on-the-fly
text-to-speech synthesis, and allows for an unlimited number of lines on
a single computer. PortusConnect is a 100% Common Lisp application that
runs on both Linux and Win32. PortusConnect should also run on FreeBSD.
Recently, several new features have been added to PortusConnect,
including a protocol extension module, caller ID, new voice fonts, and
more. To promote this new version, we are discounting PortusConnect by
$1,500 and offering it for $5,000 (from $6,500) until October 21. In
addition, customers will receive a free 10-pack (10 hours) of
development and support -- a $1,000 savings. As a last incentive,
customers acting before Oct. 1 will receive source code to the client
absolutely free -- another $1,000 value.
Mac OS X users:
PortusConnect would like to promote Lisp telephony on Mac OS X as well.
Although telephony hardware typically does not run under Mac OS X,
customers can take advantage of PortusConnect's client-server
architecture by running the PortusConnect server on Linux and writing
telephony controllers on the Mac. Watch as your PowerBook G4 controls a
48-line IVR system.
To promote Lisp telephony on the Mac, Portus is offering this promotion
with an additional 5 hours of development and support time -- that's 15
hours of development and support that you can use towards your own
telephony application.
Your feedback is welcome.
