With a few folks kicking the tires of Cells and asking Really Good
Questions, and given the absence of doc, I thought one thing I could do
was make sure everyone could see my desperate attempts to make up for
the lack of doc with email support.
Also two folks ended up doing the heavy-lifting necessary to make ASDF
install work, which is Not Good. So:
http://common-lisp.net/mailman/listinfo/cells-devel
I am new to all this stuff, so bear with me if you will while I get up
to speed. But I just subscribed my RR mail identity sans problemo and it
seems to be working. My next steps are to clean up the example code a
little, hunt down a minor bug, then get the latest version of Cells up
at least as a ZIP, then also as CVS if I ever figure that nonsense out.
/Then/ I rinse and repeat with Cello, but I think I need to first grab
the shiny new Freeglut 2.0, some new libs for using fonts with OpenGL,
and then package that all up again. But I will get the mailing lists
going so people can talk about it there. But (again), I am telling
everyone interested in Cello to see if they like Cells first, since that
is fundamental to Cello and has the additional charm of being Actually
Available for download (from the declining feature SourceForge RoboCells
project, if you are in a mad hurry (and don't mind fixing a thing or two
to get it built.))
