This is an announcement for Mac OS X users that PortusConnect has been
ported to Mac OS X under the new Mac release of LispWorks 4.3.

We would like to promote this new product by offering the first
PortusConnect customer for $4,000 (USD), and including with it 10 hours
of support, as well as partial source code.

The value proposition for PortusConnect on Mac OS X is that very few
telephony applications are written for the Mac. However, PortusConnect
is a distrubed client/server architecture for telephony, so while you
can host the hardware portion of the application on Linux or Win32, the
application specific (control) portion of your telephony application
(including the telephony development environment) resides on the Mac.

Just as an example, with this application, you can host a 48-line IVR
system, with different menus, rules, and prompts on each line, database
integration, etc., on your PowerBook.
