Having happened upon Openlisp available (the only Lisp available, that is) on
freeshell.org, I'm trying to find a tutorial, or at least a document describing
the differences between ISLISP and CL. Also of interest is info on the TISL
ISLISP implementation. I haven't turned up much via google. :-(

ISLISP is much smaller than CL and intended (as I understand it) for
different kinds of applications than CL. Think small/embedded
implementations.

From what I've seen, ISLISP looks nice and is reasonably well
designed. It also provides a nice migration path to CL -- if you start
by learning ISLISP, you will progress to CL rather smoothly.

The two important things I have found missing in ISLISP are hash tables
(almost trivial with an external library) and packages (decidedly
non-trivial).

You should probably forget about TISL if you're looking for a usable
implementation of ISLISP. I have tried it and it is very much a work in
progress, with no progress visible recently. I'm still looking into the
possibility of creating another implementation.
