Symbolics's 'System Construction Tool' and I think TI's as well had a
patch capability.  I never quite learned how it worked.  But recently
I was thinking about MetaCVS (http://users.footprints.net/~kaz/mcvs.html)
and wondered if anyone had ever created a Lisp-based patch-like
program outside of SCT.
