I'd like to announce availability of the first production release of LISA, a
platform for the development of Rete-based intelligent systems in Common
Lisp. The most significant new feature in Version 1.0 is full support for
rule redefinition within a running inference engine. Currently in
development for release 1.1 is support for "dynamic rule definition" -- the
ability to create new rules from existing rules at runtime -- and a
preliminary query language.

Please visit http://lisa.sourceforge.net for details on the LISA project;
downloads can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/lisa/. If you have
trouble locating the new release please try back soon; the sourceforge site
needs about thirty minutes to reflect file uploads. Updates to LISA's web
site reflecting Release 1.0 will follow this announcement over the next few
days.

Regards,
