Greetings!

This message is about five online weekly newsletters
for AI researchers, students, and programmers --
although more about career topics and opportunities
than AI per se. Our professional association
has been operating since 1991.

Some of you have enjoyed the Full Moon editions of my
Computists' Weekly newsletter. Well, that tradition
is no more. It would be redundant, since all of our
weekly newsletters are now available for free.

The Full Moon edition was a monthly sample of our
flagship newsletter, the Computists' Weekly.
We also offer the Computists' Career Jobs (CCJ),
Applied Jobs (CAJ), Research Software (CRS), and
Literature Announcements (CLA) digests.

All of these are now available in a news stream
called CI-Freebies. The newsletters are delayed by
about two weeks -- or by two issues, actually -- and
have advertising added. In the Computists' Weekly,
advertising blurbs may take the place of some of our
philosophical quotations. Other than that, these are
the same newsletters that Computists will be getting.

Members will get other services, of course, and they
can choose *not* to get some of the digests. Visit
<http://www.computists.com> to check it out.
(The site is newly redesigned and easy to explore.)
You'll find that our US individual membership fees
have been cut in half this year -- quite a bargain.
Start-up group memberships have also been improved.

If you'd rather just peek through the window, read
any number of digest issues in our public archives
or read the AI Briefs clips that we've contributed
to IEEE Intelligent Systems. But feel free
to sign up for our full CI-Freebies stream at
<http://www.onelist.com/community/CI-Freebies>.
It's a new list, with postings to begin this week.

We also offer a new, unmoderated AI discussion list
called CI-FreeTalk, similar to comp.ai but delivered
by email. You can use it to post announcements,
discuss CI-Freebies content, or whatever you want.
There's an associated calendar service if anyone
wants to use it. Sign up for either individual
messages or [at most] daily digests at
<http://www.onelist.com/community/CI-FreeTalk>.

After you're registered with ONElist -- which
costs nothing -- you can manage your subscriptions
from your My ONElist page. Subscribe/unsubscribe,
pause/resume, or change the message/digest option
for each list without asking me to do it for you.

Check out <http://www.computists.com> to see what
we can do for you. All our services are explained
there, including the free lists and archives.

P.S. I've got the flu this week, so responding to
any queries may take a few days.
