I have been thinking about how language influences our thoughts and how
it affects the way we interpret the world and therefore implement
solutions to problems.

So, I was wondering if people would like to post their comments,
thoughts or examples of any code snippets, algorithms, or classes of
problems, that they consider are particularly elegant or impressive
when implemented in Scheme (as opposed to implementations in other
languages).

And, following on from this, why is it that these things are so nicely
implemented in scheme? What is it about the scheme language that leads
to certain classes of problems being particularly suited to scheme (
i.e. is it because of particular features such as lists, functions as
first class objects or call/cc & continuations, or is it because of
something else entirely)?

Regards,
- Peter.
