SUMMARY

This is a two-to-three year appointment to work on the development of
advanced reasoning services on the World-Wide-Web. The work will be
carried out in the context of the project IBROW, An Intelligent
Brokering Service for Knowledge-Component Reuse on the World Wide Web.
The main aim of this project is to provide a set of web-based
technologies to support i) the intelligent retrieval of problem solving
components from distributed digital libraries and ii) the configuration
of these components into effective problem solvers, in accordance with
stated user requirements. The appointment will be made on the Research
staff salary scale, �16,286 - �24,479 pa, or �22,579 - �30,065,
depending on qualifications and experience. Applications are welcomed
from researchers with a background in knowledge technologies and with
the ability of undertaking web-based system development activities.
