Hi,
I'd like to install Gnu Common Lisp on IRIX. We have IRIX 6.5 running
here with both the IRIX C compiler and GCC 2.8.1. I tried to build it
with no success. But reviewing the machine definition files showed that
they were all built around IRIX 5 and earlier. Before I hack into this
has anyone got a setup that will work for modern incarnations of IRIX?

Sorry, no. But... Do you really need GCL? CMUCL and CLISP both work on Irix.
