Knowledge-based Engineering Developer Positions

Seeking qualified developers for a potential Knowledge-based
Engineering contract positions in Metro Detroit.
These positions would involve placement with a Big Three automaker
working in a KBE environment based on Allegro Common Lisp.
This work involves developing systems for automating and optimizing
the engineering, design, and manufacturing processes connected
with major systems and subsystems in new vehicle programs.
All applicants will be considered, including recent college graduates
and international applicants.
Note that this is a very practical application of Common Lisp and
is *not* a research or ``AI''-related activity.
Intensive training will be provided.
Qualifications:
===============
o Enthusiasm for creating practical real-world solutions
to real-world problems using Common Lisp.
o Good ability with geometry and three-dimensional
visualization in your head.
o Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
o Ability to concentrate and carry detail-oriented work
through to completion.
o Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering background
will be a plus.
This work will also very likely include web-enabling applications
using CL-HTTP or similar technologies, so experience and interest
with cl-http and web server apps will be a plus.
Depending on availability of qualified applicants and some
other factors, the timing of these openings will vary from
immediate through the next several months, probably into
Spring 2000. Success of current projects will determine
the scale of future growth.
