2 - AI coders use it
3 - it has lots of parenthises

where do you want to go? it's easier if you have some sort of goal.
if you express it to us, we can better help.
check out paul graham's book _ansi common lisp_ and get yourself a
lisp implementation such as clisp or franz' acl.
