You were maybe thinking of Allegro Common Lisp, which can be
downloaded free of charge for noncommercial use on Linux/x86. CLISP
(http://clisp.cons.org/) is a bytecode-based Common Lisp
implementation under GPL which has been ported to
powerpc-mklinux-libc6; see
