You were maybe thinking of Allegro Common Lisp, which can be
downloaded free of charge for noncommercial use on Linux/x86. CLISP
(http://clisp.cons.org/) is a bytecode-based Common Lisp
implementation under GPL which has been ported to
powerpc-mklinux-libc6; see
ftp://ftp.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/pub/programming/languages/lisp/clisp/binaries/powerpc-mklinux-libc6/
