Sorry for the stupid questions...

I am trying to compile MAXIMA-5.2 with CLISP (1997-09.25 I think)
and I have run into the following error at DECLARE-TOP functions:

	" symbol FOR has no value "

Does CLISP support DECLARE-TOP? If so what may be wrong here? If
not, is there a similar function which does this?
