I've been using lisp inside the confines of Autocad (drawing program) for about
6 years. I've written a lot of in house routines to handle drawings
proceedures, and I'm quite comfortable with lisp.
I'm now considering teaching myself how to do some programming outside of the
drawing environment.
Does anyone know which of the lisp dialects is most closely compatable with
Autocad's Autolisp? Which is the most commonly used? Who sells the compilers,
and whats the general price range?
Furthermore, how does lisp compare to the popular programming languages like C
or Visual Basic?
