	I'm hopeing to find a unix lisp compiler so that I can create 
executables from my lisp code.  I'm not even sure if there is such a thing.

Would Eclipse (http://www.elwood.com/eclipse-info/index.htm) do what you
want?  If not, or if you can't tell from the description and
documentation, please let the vendor (my employer) know.
