Hi,
after my first day using ACL 4.3 on a Linux box I must say I am
really happy to have the same environment on both Suns and PCs.
But there is one thing that keeps me wondering. Usually this
PC is about 4 times quicker than the Sun (this is for C programs
using GCC), but ACL4.3 seems to be just around 50% quicker
in a few small tests. What are other people's experiences?
Any hints on tuning the installation?
Anyway, a big thumps up to Franz for the free Linux ACL4.3
cheers, Bernhard
