   There is a good chance that Guile's high level C API (the gh_
   interface) will be adopted by most of the Scheme implementors.  I have
   designed with that in mind.

Huh?  Being one of those Scheme implementors myself, and not having
even heard about this API until just now, I find this statement a bit
preposterous.
