Subject: trying to compile Clx with Clisp on Solaris

Message-ID: <esimpson.26.3151A3E3@calumet.yorku.ca>
I am looking for help in compiling CLX with Clisp on Solaris.

Following the readme, I load defsystem.lsp and then try compile-clx.
It gets so far before saying saying redefining common lisp macro DECLAIM
and PRINT-UNREADABLE-OBJECT. I am able to continue though until I get the
following message:

Compiling file /nfs/prism/disk13/pf/stu_16/cs911047/cosc4/4301/clx/clx.lsp ...
*** - REAL is a built-in type and may not be redefined.
1. Break>

Any suggestions?

I need CLX so that I can try and compile Garnet.

Thanks for any help,

Eric
