Does such a thing as LISP for Windows 3.1 or Win95 exist??
Can I code LISP at home on my Windows machine, either in Windows or in
DOS?? Win 95??
As far as I've seen, LISP seems made for Unix-style environments...am I
right?

No problem.
There are two (yes, two) LISPs for windows 3.1:
1) Harlequin's Freelisp available at
http://www.harlequin.com/freelisp/
2) Franz's LISP's Allegro CL LISP available at
http://www.franz.com/
Which is the better LISP. Well, that answer must come from some one
smarter and more conversant in LISP than I. I'm just happy that either
is available!

Dave.
go for ACL. I tried to run a program in FreeLisp but it didn't work. On
the other hand, the same program runs fine in ACL.

You should see MCL on macs, that is a lisp-environment comparable to the
symbolicsen. Neither ACL/W nor Freelisp are really bad, but I prefer the
multi-window environment of ACL/W. That might be personal taste, since
other people use Win-Emacs even for ACL/W
