Is it true that software developed for DEC Alphas with the 21064 processor
chip will not run on Alphas with the 21164 or 21164A processor chips?
In particular, I have been using Harlequin Lispworks for Alphas with the
21064 processor. Is Lispworks going to run on the latest, fastest
Alphas such as the AlphaStation 600?

To the best of my knowledge there is no reason you can't CONS and CAR on EV5
and EV56 processors just as well as you can on the EV4--only faster.

The two chips are completely compatible.

All Alphas are binary compatible.
