Hi,

we just evaluate buying Ultrasparcs and want to have our Allegro stuff
running on them. Each time we try to load files, Allegro segfaults. Is
there a trick to convince Allegro to do what it does on a Sparc 10,
namely just load and execute files?

Lisp identifies as Allegro CL 4.2 [SPARC; R1] and the Ultra as

corp-200.bert-35: uname -a
SunOS corp-200 5.5 Generic_103093-02 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1

Thanks for any help, Norbert

I believe you need ACL4.3 to run on UltraSparc - I have it,
but I haven't installed it yet on my Ultra. Try talking to Franz at

Allegro 4.2 doesn't run on Ultra sparc's, you need to get ACL 4.3.
