We're having some problems getting a version of Lisp to run Loom on. The Unix
version of Allegro is, for the moment, prohibitively expensive.

1) Does anyone know if it's possible to get Loom to work using a different
(cheaper) Unix version of Lisp ?

2) I downloaded Allegro for Windows from Franz Inc. Has anyone tried running
Loom on a PC ? If so, what is the minimum spec for a PC capable of running
Loom ? I presume Loom will not work on the freeware version of Allegro, due to
limited heap space, and the fact that it can't save compiled code.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much,
