Check out comp.lang.lisp.mcl for a "(no subject)" (oops) article from me 
describing a new hack I call Semaphors(tm). I believe it constitutes a 
new (much better) way to program.

It is in MCL, but it is all common lisp, so i could port it to another 
platform if interest warrants.
