I have tried to compile gcl on an hp730 with hp-unix version 9.0.

I chosed the hp800 MACHINE option, and uncommented the gcc lines in hp800.defs 
for gcc using.

That's the result at the end of linking:

I suspect an error in the modifications I made in the hp800.defs.
