does anybody know, if there exists a successful portation of the latest
version of AKCL to an alpha-system with osf1 / digital unix and
if yes, where can I get it?

gcl (GNU Common Lisp) can be seen as the "newest version" of
akcl. gcl-2.2 has an alpha-osf1 port.
