Subject: [Q] "Best" CLOS environment for the MAC ?

Message-ID: <45fgl9$7g0@newsserver.trl.OZ.AU>
I am on the verg of sinking some dollars into a programming
environment for the Mac. After playing with smalltalk and C++,
I feel that I better give CLOS a fair shot.

Although I haven't been coding in lisp for a few years, it is
the first language I used professionally (for about 8 years.)
My lisp experience is all unix (Franz & Lucid) or Symbolics
(MacIvory - the good old days!)

So... any recommendations (along with justifications) would be
appreciated.

In particular, I am interested in limiting the discussions to MAC
ONLY lisps. Why? Because that's the platform I have at my
disposal.

As for the definition of "best", that's up to you, but please
include some indication of GUI-builder capabilities, performance,
and of course price.

Thanks,
Andy.

You're talking about MCL (Macintosh Common LISP). Now in the hands of
Digitool (since Apple elected to ignore it to death, having bought Corel
Common LISP, CCL, renamed to MCL).

   Look around at http://www.digitool.com/
