I've tried several times to get CLISP.ZIP from
ma2s2.mathematik.uni-karlsruhe.de, and can never get more than a
few Kbytes a minute. Is there another site for this package? Or
is there a better Common Lisp out here?

It seems like gatekeeper.dec.com:pub/plan/lisp/clisp usually has the current
version of clisp.
