Mohammed,
I have only ever found two shareware lisp interpreters
for MS-Windows. I downloaded both from Compuserve,
have never found either one on the net.
First one is called NewLisp. It doesn't follow any
particular standard. It's from someone called Lutz Mueller
somewhere in California. It's kind of a cross between
Common Lisp and Scheme. All variables are dynamic by
default. It comes with a DDE interface, a way to write
externals in Borland or Microsoft C, and a fair selection
of primitives for Windows. It also has a not bad debugger.
Seems quite fast. Have not found a use for it yet. No
integrated editor, comes with an external editor.
Second one is Apteryx Lisp for Windows. This is a sort of
subset of Common Lisp. It's got a nice multi-window editor
interface. Seems to have some higher level graphics
primitives. Seems closer to Common Lisp than NewLisp, but
it's still far from a full implementation. Have not found
a use for it yet.
Commercially there's Allegro Common Lisp for Windows, a
full implementation, supposed to be quite good, I find it a
little expensive.
