CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION
Adaptable and Adaptive Software
OOPSLA '95 Workshop
==========================================

Date: Sunday, October 15 Time: 9am - 5pm

Overview: This workshop will explore barriers to adaptability that are
posed by current software methods, languages and tools, and
will explore novel methods, languages, and tools with the
          potential to enhance adaptability.

Goals and Focus:
Since requirements for software systems change very
rapidly, there is a growing demand for adaptable software,
i.e. software which is flexible enough to be (re-)used to
meet changing requirements. This workshop will bring
together researchers, developers, and practitioners from
both the object-oriented community and the reuse community
to explore current barriers to adaptability and new
techniques for addressing such barriers. The focus will be
more towards adaptability to software evolution than towards
dynamic adaptation to changing runtime conditions.

Requirements for attendance:
Participation will be by invitation only. Prospective
participants should submit a 2-3 page position paper or
experience report, no later than August 15, 1995. In
addition, each prospective participant should submit a
question or topic of key importance to this workshop. This
will facilitate the planning of successful working groups.
Notification of acceptance will be by September 8, 1995.

Submissions:
Interested participants should submit the position paper,
preferably in PostSript or plain ASCII format, by e-mail to
          ··················@ccs.neu.edu
All submissions must include the full contact information of
          at least one author.
