Does anyone happen to know if there is an version of common lisp
available for these machines and where? Xlisp is available for it, but
I can't be sure if it's a suitable replacement for allegro common lisp.
If one is not available, might there be something available out there
that I can compile? I get kicked off the cluster machines way too often
to be able to start up lisp... assuming there were any available to
begin with.

cematt> Yes, Lucid Corp. sells Lucid Common Lisp for the RS/6000.
Harlequin also sells LispWorks for the RS/6000.
