A little attribution note here: I am the person who posted the query
about a lisp to completely replace awk with, not the person who
mentioned p*rl.

I'll summarize my replies and my experience with scheme shortly.  In
the meantime, I'm open to any other suggestions on what lisp to
completely replace awk with.
