The SAGE project at the School of Computer Science, Carnegie-Mellon
University has openings for immediate employment at the following levels:

1. Post Doc
2. Senior research programmer (roughly MS or 6 years job experience)
3. Research programmer (roughly BS level or 1-3 years experience)

Candidates should have training in computer science or related areas, but
a strong interest in human-computer interaction and substantial experience
in the design of human computer interfaces is required. The positions
require specific expertise in at least two of the following three areas:

- design, implementation and assessment of human computer interfaces
- data visualization (computer graphics for displaying data) or data
  exploration and manipulation environments
- AI planning systems

The SAGE project is concerned with:
- the development of knowledge-based data graphic generation
(data visualization) systems, especially for combinations of diverse
relational, quantitative, temporal and other information

- integration of text generation and graphics generation systems to create
coordinated multi-media explanations of these large data sets,

- development of novel data visualization and direct manipulation interfaces
for data exploration, search, and analysis.
