ESL is looking for a natural language/text understanding expert to
make major contributions to a commercial product. This is a high
level position, requiring knowledge of natural language processing
techniques and principles, and the engineering skill to
build practical applications. The successful candidate will have
at least four years experience developing software applications,
including two years developing text extraction applications, possess
excellent communication skills, and have the management skills to
lead a small team. This position requires excellent Lisp programming
skills, competence in C, and a working knowledge of databases.
A background in information retrieval and graphic user interfaces
would be helpful. Some travel to exotic foreign locales will
likely be required, as we are working with some Europe based
companies. U.S. citizenship probably not required, but a plus.
