The LispView 1.1 (Oct'91) manual talks about opening displays on
various hosts (which works), but also points out in a footnote that
the software does not support simultaneous multiple displays (which it
doesn't).
Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I think this is a limitation of the underlying XView toolkit. Since its
API was derived from SunView, which always operated on the local display,
it doesn't take the display as a parameter to the calls. Instead, it makes
use of a global variable to refer to the open display.
