I downloaded the CLISP interpreter from that mathematik.____.de site in
Germany. However, whenever I try to run it (clisp -M lispinit.mem), it
bombs out with the message "Virtual _____ does not support VCPI". What is
this? I also tried to run the 1MB version, but I got the same error
message. I'm attempting to run it on a 486DX-33 with 4MB RAM.

BTW, I didn't attempt it, but will it run under MS-Windows 3.1?

Please read the README file.
Please read the README file.
Please read the README file.

It refers you to the file EMX-USER.DOC, which in turn has an entry for
_exactly_ that error message.
